They were forced to go their separate ways against their will. Too young to know they had the right to fight for their love. Too young to realize what they felt was love. She too weak to stand up to her mother.
He moved away to Texas to work for a newspaper. He married and raised a family. She stayed close to town, did not move too far away. She married and raised a family.
They had no contact with each other for 29 years. He looked for her every single year when he came out to visit his parents. Never found her. He even searched for her on the internet, he couldn't find her. She looked for him at his house once, learned he had moved away. She looked for him at the beach, but couldn't find him. He told her she could always find him at the beach!!!!!
Then one day she followed a junk email link to classmates.com. She signed on and saw somebody was looking for a family member and told her husband to look at the site with her. She wanted to share the site with him. But, he had an attitude and asked if she was going to find her old boyfriend. That idea did not even cross her mind. She was hurt and mad when he said that to her. He stuck the idea in her head. If she was going to look for anyone, it would only be one classmate that she wanted to find.
She searched his name. She found him. He was one click away. But she did not send the message that night. She left her husband on the couch and went to her room. The next morning she went to work. She waited until she knew that she wanted to find him. The message she sent read, "Do you remember me"?
Did he remember her?
